Dear family and friends,
Not much time today! But highlights of the week:
We met with a less active this week who breeds European Boxers...and she had 4 puppies! They were soooo cute!!
We met with an awesome guy named Nik this week! He is in his 70s and is very open and honest with us. He really has a sincere desire to find out more about the church and know if what we're teaching is true. Although he talks A LOT, we were able to teach him a little about the Restoration. :)
My companion and I had the opportunity to get blessings from a man in our ward this week. It was very powerful. It just made to so so so thankful for the power of the Priesthood. I am so thankful for those men who are worthy to exercise that power in a time of need.
We were helping Mirto this week mow her lawn and do some weeding. I was out there and she was holding the bag for me to put weeds in when we suddenly held on to me and went all limp. It scared me, but we realized that she was having a seizure. We knew that she has them, but hadn't witnessed one. We got help from the house and she was okay. Glad we were there to keep her safe and call for help!
Oh, we had dinner with an awesome member and her daughter this week. While we were giving our thought her daughter, Lydia, started throwing a golf ball then laying flat on the floor and picking it up with her mouth. Ha. It was so funny! When I started to video she stopped, but I got a little. It was just so funny!
We finally met with David again after his hospital adventure. While he is not fully mended, he is doing a lot better. He still expressed his sincere desire to be baptized. The only thing that brought him through that dark week was the Book of Mormon and the Bible. He felt like God was telling him that he wasn't going to leave yet. He still has a work to do. Although he doesn't know exactly what that is, he is determined to find out.
Anyways, love the scripture D&C 6:36--"Look unto me in every thought, doubt no, fear not." If we look unto Christ in all we do we will not fear.
Have a blessed week!
Sister Johns
